Keep Calm and (Weekly) Ride with the Cycling Club

Cycling enthusiasts and adventure seekers are in for a treat as a new cycling route to Wat Don Wai Floating Market and Phutthamonthon, was explored in the Nakhon Pathom province of Thailand.

Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Cycling Club organized a Weekly Ride on January 20, 27 and February 5, 17, 2023 participated in by 28 club members. The first stop on the journey was the Wat Don Wai Floating Market, a traditional market located on the bank of Tha Chin River. Cyclists experienced the local culture, tasted delicious Thai food, and shopped for souvenirs while enjoying the picturesque scenery.

Next, the cyclists headed to Phutthamonthon Park, the largest Buddhist park in the world. Here, they explored the stunning temples and learned about Thai Buddhism while taking in the peaceful surroundings.

The cycling route has garnered much attention from adventure enthusiasts and is expected to boost tourism in Nakhon Pathom province. The route is suitable for both novice and experienced cyclists and can be completed in approximately two to three hours.

According to the Cycling Club, “With its stunning scenery, rich culture, and delicious food, the Wat Don Wai Floating Market and Phutthamonthon Parkcycling routes are a must-visit for anyone looking for an exciting adventure in Thailand. Eventually, we, the MUIC Cycling Club are anticipating to be cycling with you guys again in the future! Stay tuned!”
