As the 1st Trimester ended, the Master of Management in International Tourism and Hospitality Management (MM) program of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) conducted a site visit to Erawan National Park in Kanchanaburi province.

The activity was organized under the purview of the ICTH 604 Sustainable Development in Tourism and Hospitality Industry course under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Kaewta Muangasame, who serves as a Lecturer in the Tourism and Hospitality Management Division at Mahidol University International College (MUIC).

The primary objective of the visit was to gain practical knowledge and insights into the effective management of sustainable development in the tourism and hospitality sector, focusing on collaboration with the local community and the areas surrounding the park to transform it into an ecologically responsible area. The Sustainable Tourism Business Model and how to evaluate the sustainable destination were set to be the learning outcomes by using the consulting team approach.

The students enrolled in the MM Program received a warm reception from Mrs. Wanabud Atthawit, the Director of Tourism and Recreation Management Division, National Park Office, and Mr. Supol Kamsanor, the Erawan National Park Superintendent. Both officials generously shared their experiences and profound insights in sustainable development in tourism and hospitality management with the visiting students.
