Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Applied Mathematics Program partnered with the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) in organizing a seminar-workshop on actuarial science entitled, “General Insurance and AI in Insurance” on November 11, 2025 at Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building.
As AI continues to transform economies across Asia and the world, the organizers noted that insurance professionals need a clearer, more grounded understanding of AI’s real-world implications.

beyond. At the same time, the actuarial discipline—with its deep roots in probabilistic thinking, real-world modeling, and an ethos of professionalism—offers critical insights needed for the responsible development and deployment of AI technologies.
