On January 28, 2026, in Charinyarasami Hall in the Aditayathorn Building, MUIC held a memorial service in remembrance of Dr. Charles E. Windish, a valued member of our community who touched many lives through kindness and friendship, as well as his commitment to education.

Community members, family, and friends gathered to honor and remember Dr. Windish. It was a space for collective healing and reflection on his legacy and the meaningful impact he had on colleagues, students, and MUIC as a whole.

The service included a reading of a brief biography of Dr. Windish, a thoughtful video presentation with photographs and short videos of his life over recent decades, the heartfelt delivery of remembrance messages from several colleagues close to him, and a moment of silence to provide attendees with time to reflect and pay their respects.

The memorial service concluded with a message of hope, reminding those present that remembrance keeps loved ones alive in our hearts and minds, and that unity and compassion will help guide the community forward. 

Overall, it was a meaningful opportunity for attendees to share their cherished memories of Dr. Windish, with dozens of lovely photographs of his time at MUIC and his life in Thailand displayed around the space.
