Mahidol University International College (MUIC) proudly announced that a team of four Finance students, collectively known as "Liquidators," advanced to the semifinals of the prestigious McGill International Portfolio Challenge 2024 (MIPC2024).

Competing against 99 teams from 17 countries across five continents, the MUIC team earned a spot in the top 10 teams in the online track of this global competition on September 14 -  November 9, 2024.

Representing MUIC were the following Liquidators  team members:

• Han Coridon Emery

• Thanwalai Maneephan

• Thanut Sonthisawadht

• Yatip Phumchan

Each member brought a strong foundation in finance, which they applied towards designing an innovative solution for enhancing retirement security for gig workers in Florida. Their proposed solution, the "Florida Save" initiative, incorporated a dual-account model to balance short-term liquidity with long-term retirement savings, catering to the financial needs of gig economy workers.

The competition provided students with an invaluable opportunity to tackle real-world financial challenges while exploring themes in sustainable finance and innovative portfolio management.

MUIC offered its congratulations to team Liquidators for its outstanding achievement and dedication. The team’s hard work and innovative approach not only highlighted their academic excellence but also brought pride to MUIC on the global stage.
