Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Model United Nations (MUN) Club held the “MUN Simulations” on October 16 and November 21, 2024 at Rooms A250 and A347, Aditayathorn Building.

The MUN Simulations placed participants at the heart of interesting and engaging scenarios, where they represented their countries, organizations, and even fictional ones to devise and adapt their response to each situation. These fast-paced scenarios sharpened the students’ skills in crisis management, teamwork, and rapid decision-making while offering practical insights into global health and disaster response strategies.

The simulations were divided into two sessions. The first was MUN101: Zombies, which simulated an apocalyptic scenario involving a zombie outbreak. How would the countries react? The second was MUN101: Hunger Games which put the participants in the fictional world of Panem, where they solved the problem present in the universe of the famous book trilogy-turned-movie trilogy.

In both simulations, participants had to role-play and use their wits to help them debate and improve their public speaking and quick problem-solving skills.
