On November 21, 2024, the Music Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC)  hosted an extraordinary musical event called “RIProject” at the Screening Room, Aditayathorn Building. The concert drew an impressive audience composed of 142 students who gathered to experience a creative fusion of music and storytelling.

RIProject was no ordinary concert. It blended live music with various media, including lighting effects, short films, visualizations, voiceovers, and props, to tell a powerful narrative. Each song represented a chapter in the play, guiding the audience through the “Stages of Life” theme, which explored birth, aging, illness, and death.

Performing all the musical numbers and also acting as the narrator and weaving the story together was Nearbychair Band. Between songs, short videos and voiceovers added depth and variety, making the experience immersive and thought-provoking. Outside the venue, the performing band set up a booth to connect with the audience and promote their work.

RIProject aimed to introduce a new way of entertainment while encouraging attendees to reflect on the different stages of life. It was indeed a perfect mix of art, emotion, and introspection.
