The Science Society Club of Mahidol University International Club (MUIC) held an exciting and aromatic activity, the “Matcha Latte & Iced Latte DIY Candle Workshop” on November 20, 2024 at the Ground Floor Lobby of Aditayathorn Building.

This creative activity is designed to give participants hands-on experience in crafting personalized candles inspired by two favorite drinks: matcha latte and iced latte.

During the workshop, participants explored the science behind candle-making, from understanding the chemistry of wax to how it vaporizes and releases calming fragrances. They also learned about the therapeutic benefits of scents, such as their ability to reduce stress by lowering cortisol levels in the brain.

A freshman student from the Media and Communication Program, Ms. Chanamon Kasivate, was announced as the lucky draw winner, taking home a gift box containing an art toy as her prize.
