Academic Overview & Calendar
Mahidol University International College (MUIC) offers a broad spectrum of undergraduate degree programs designed to develop a new generation of academics, international managers and industry professionals. There are 17 undergraduate majors, including five in the Arts, eight in the Sciences and four in Business Administration, along with 22 minors.
MUIC currently serves approximately 3,220 students, with a full and part-time faculty (60 percent of whom are foreign nationals) that represents a wide range of international expertise in all subject areas. The student/teacher ratio is 28:1.
MUIC academic calendar operates on a trimester system. Each trimester has 12 weeks of lecture classes and one week of final exams. Lecture classes are scheduled everyday between 8:00 – 18:00 hrs. Classes usually take place for two hours/day twice per week. Each course is normally worth 4 MUIC credits with equaling 48 hours of lectures.
