The Theatre Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized a workshop on October 31, 2025 for students who are interested in designing costumes and set design for theatre productions at A543, 5th Floor and A511 Small Studio, 5th Floor, Aditayathorn Building.

The main objective of this activity was to give the 13 participants an idea about theatre production from the designer’s perspective.

The activity consisted of two sessions, namely, costumes designing session and set design designing session. In the costume session, participants watched a video clip on costume in theater productions. Participants also tried sketching what the costumes were going to look like according to the characteristics of a fictional character such as Frankenstein. In the set design session, participants tried making a model for the theatre’s stage to understand more about the ratio of the stage with the set design that they are going to put in before actually starting building them.

The workshop was successful with the participants able to understand more about designing for theatre production. Moreover, the workshop gave the club the opportunity to learn more details which can be used for the upcoming production.
