What makes MUIC an attractive destination for inbound exchange students? What makes MUIC a standout institution for foreign students? We interviewed four inbound students who attended during the 2nd Trimester of AY 2024-2025 and what they shared is a confirmation of MUIC’s strengths. Here’s what they said: Inbound - Kenna - Victoria_1 copy Ms. Kenna-Elysia T. Jones Degree Program: Biochemistry Microbiology Home University: University of Victoria, Canada “Of my top three choices, I liked the organization and (academic) choices offered at MUIC. When I was nine years old, my family visited Thailand on vacation. It was our one and only family vacation out of our home country. I believe that I never would have applied to my home university which is in Canada—with all the various restrictions and complications of studying abroad entails—if not for the pleasant experiences I had in Thailand. I decided to return here as a thank you. Thank you for showing me the world, a brave part of myself, and for the joyful memories I treasure to this day.” The 3 Best Things about MUIC
  1. The greenery. There is so much life on campus.
  2. The classes—I was used to 200+ plus students in a class. The smaller class size in MUIC agrees with me.
  3. The friends I’ve made while studying here.
Inbound - Mariana - Roehampton_1 copy Ms. Mariana Postoronca Degree Program: Marketing Home University: Roehampton University, UK “Thailand has always fascinated me—its vibrant culture, dynamic economy, and, most importantly, its unique approach to marketing. That’s why I chose MUIC. From the moment I walked into my first marketing class, I knew I had made the right choice. The professors weren’t just knowledgeable; they were industry experts, blending Western and Eastern strategies in ways I had never seen before. My classmates came from all over the world, each bringing their own perspectives, challenging me to see marketing in a new light. I have made so many friends and connections here that would stay with me for a long time. Thailand had given me more than an education—it had given me a global perspective.” The 3 Best Things about MUIC
  1. Diverse international community
  2. High academic standards
  3. Engaging activities and Events
Inbound - Samantha - Massachusetts_1 copy Ms. Samantha Mielnikowski Degree Program: Business Administration Home University: University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA “I chose to study at MUIC because I heard very positive things about the program from people back home. Also, my advisor encouraged me to take a leap of faith and travel far while I’m young and able to. Furthermore, I like that Thailand has a big city, beaches, and mountains. I am surrounded by beautiful places to visit and MUIC is in a good central location.” The 3 Best Things about MUIC
  1. MUIC’s beautiful buildings and landscape
  2. Numerous places to study
  3. The Student Exchange Unit’s willingness to help with whatever questions or concerns I may have
  4. MUIC’s inclusivity and welcoming atmosphere.
Inbound - Jannis _Bremen_1 copy Mr. Jannis Manuel Thiemann Degree Program: Management Information Systems Home University: University of Bremen, Germany “I chose MUIC because of its good quality academic offerings that are in English. This is important for me since I don’t speak much Thai. The courses, especially those in the Finance Major, align well with my academic background and my future career plans. I was also strongly influenced by the remarkable reviews I received from two friends in Germany, who spoke highly of the learning environment and the support they’ve received here. After reviewing several options myself, MUIC gave me the best overall impression with its academic program and campus life. Additionally, I also appreciate that the Salaya campus is close to Bangkok, making it easy to immerse myself in city life while still enjoying a more laid-back environment for studying.” The 3 Best Things about MUIC
  1. Strong sense of community among the international and Thai students
  2. Well-organized procedures and approachable professors and staff
  3. Wide variety of extracurricular activities organized by the college and student clubs
MUIC has a very active exchange program, giving its own students the opportunity to study abroad for a semester or two in any of the college’s more than 140 partner universities abroad at the same time accepting foreign students, enriching the diverse environment of the campus.
