Every great innovation starts with a problem waiting for a compassionate solution. For Mahidol University International College (MUIC) alumna Ms. Nalin Maeteepatikul (THM Class of 2014), that spark arrived in 2021 with the birth of her first son. When her newborn developed severe allergies to milk and wheat, Nalin quickly realized how scarce safe, dairy-free infant foods were in the local Thai market. Refusing to let circumstances compromise her child's health, she transformed maternal love into an extraordinary entrepreneurial mission.
Driven by a background in holistic health and a newly earned certificate in pediatric nutrition, Nalin spent a full year conducting research and development alongside certified labs. Her dedication birthed “Giraffe Milk”—a nutrient-dense, dairy-free plant formula designed to promote healthy childhood growth. It quickly became the hero product for her newly founded brand, Mama’s Secret. By sharing her personal journey across TikTok and Instagram, Nalin tapped into a broad community of parents seeking healthy, allergen-friendly alternatives. To date, Giraffe Milk has sold over 200,000 pouches, establishing Mama’s Secret as a trusted household name.
Today, as CEO and Research & Development lead, and a proud mother of two, Nalin maintains her company’s momentum by staying deeply connected to the everyday realities of parenting. Mama’s Secret has expanded far beyond its flagship milk, offering postpartum vitamins, infant functional foods, and healthy snacks. Every new release stems directly from real challenges Nalin faces at home. For her, business growth is seamlessly intertwined with her personal life. As she warmly puts it, being a mother is a lifelong journey, meaning her motivation to innovate will never run dry.
Nalin’s journey serves as a beacon of inspiration for younger MUIC students. She proves that impactful business ideas often blossom at the intersection of personal empathy, continuous learning, and market demand. Her story encourages current students to view life's unexpected hurdles not as setbacks, but as powerful opportunities to create meaningful, life-changing solutions.
