If you have a multiple-entry Non-ED visa, you do not need a re-entry permit to leave and return to Thailand. However, if you have a single-entry Non-ED visa and plan to travel outside of Thailand for a short period during your studies, you must apply for a re-entry permit before departure. Without a re-entry permit, your Non-ED visa will become invalid upon leaving Thailand, and your ED visa will be cancelled automatically.

Starting from July 2024, full-time degree-seeking students in Thailand will be granted with Non-ED Plus visa which is exempt from re-entry permit.

When applying for a Re-entry Permit, you should consider how many times you plan to travel outside Thailand during your stay at MUIC.
