The “Mahidol Board Game Fair 2026,” organized by the Board Game Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC), turned out as a vibrant celebration of strategy and community.

Held on January 21–22, 2026, at Aditayathorn Building, the event aimed to use board games as a medium for learning, creativity, friendships, world-building and entertainment among participants. By creating a collaborative environment, the fair successfully promoted board games not just as a hobby, but as a viable field and tools for immersive education.

The two-day event was packed with engaging activities, including extensive free-playing sessions that allowed students to explore various game types from partner stalls such as LanLaLen, FinDice, Thepleela, and Board Game Academy.

The major highlight included sessions with prominent guest speakers: Mr. Konthorn Taecholarn (P’Hongtae) sharing insights on “Artwork in Board Games” on the first day, and two guests from the YouTube channel Thepleela, namely, Mr. Phusanat Karunwongwat (P’Weng) and Mr. Phuthiraphat Ongsri (P’Third) on the second day who talked about “A Perspective on Board Game: From Player to Creator,” revealing how they came up with their own board game and discussing its success in attracting hundreds of people comprising both MUIC and MU students. These speakers added significant value by connecting their professional experiences to the world of gaming.

The event saw an impressive turnout of 726 total participants, exceeding the initial expectation of 600. This diverse group included 716 students, along with several lecturers and staff members. Attendees were highly satisfied with the fair.

Overall, the Mahidol Board Game Fair 2026 proved to be a resounding success, effectively blending entertainment with meaningful skill acquisition. The high level of engagement and positive feedback underscored the growing interest in board games within the MUIC community. The Board Game Club’s efforts in organizing such a large-scale, impactful event have set a high standard for future campus activities.
