As the countdown has started for the staging of “Little Women the Musical,” which will be held on June 23, 2023, the MUIC Theatre Club regularly held rehearsals every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from February 10 to March 31, 2023 at Rooms 2302 and 1402 in MUIC Building 1.
The rehearsals were meant to sharpen the members’ skills in acting, singing, and dancing. The club added that it would like to give the members an opportunity to strengthen their relationship with each other. They decided to use the 2nd Trimester as a preparation period for the musical, including creating props and backdrops, designing costumes, and planning for marketing the musical. At the end of the 2nd Trimester, the pre-production process was all complete, and the rehearsals ran smoothly.
Cast members joining this musical were able to practice, improve, and remember the plot and all the scenes of the musical. The practice sessions were also able to create bonds between performers and staff. For the pre-production part, all planning processes were set up and materials for props and backdrops were already prepared for the production phase that will take place on the 3rd Trimester. A total of 26 students participated in the rehearsals and preparation.
