CDP Students Undertake Volunteer Work for Mahasawad Community Learning Center in Salaya

Nine Communication Design Program (CDP) students of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) volunteered to work on a community service design project for Mahasawad Subdistrict Community Learning Center (Salaya). 

The students, who were enrolled in the ICCD326CD Practicum Class, worked on a community service design project for Mahasawad Subdistrict Community Learning Center (Salaya) publicizing its activities, creating its product brand identity and packaging designs along with planning and creating a series of video clips to help promote the center through social media.

Learning by working on the actual projects of a local community not only support students’ development of their professional design skills but also assist them in gaining experience and understanding cultural and background differences, empathy, and teamwork to achieve the learning outcomes of MUIC and CDP which also correspond to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) nos.  3 and 17.
