The Science Society Club held a competition called “Scientific Superhero” that ran from March 14 to 27, 2022.

Contestants had to create their own superhero imbued with scientific superpowers.

According to the club’s statement, “We wanted the participants to create these superheroes with the use of science. As science is often misunderstood as a difficult topic, we wanted to reduce this stigma by giving our participants the chance to have fun and create a superhero with cool powers based on actual science.”

The winners and the cash prizes they received were:

1st Prize: Noppanat Ampas (1,000 Baht)
2nd Prize: Kantiya Ekabut (600 Baht)
3rd Prize: Sirada Penpradech (400 Baht)

The club said in a statement, “The response that we got for this activity was amazing. Everyone loved the activity! It was something different. With this activity, we wanted everyone to have a chance to enjoy science through drawing up their imagination and creativity and giving us a new superhero that we haven't heard of! We would like to thank all the participants that joined this activity, and we can’t wait to bring more creative and fun activities for all of you next trimester.”

On August 22, 2026, I completed my first IRONMAN triathlon in Tallinn, Estonia: a 3.8 km swim, a 180 km bike ride, and a 42.2 km marathon. It took me 11 hours and 35 minutes. While one of the perks of finishing an IRONMAN is the right to brag, that isn’t the point of this post.
