The Animal Lovers Club (ALC) of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) held “Dip-A-Bear” activity at Exhibition Hall, 2nd Floor, Aditayathorn Building on February 12 – 14, 2024.

Participants celebrated Valentine’s Day by painting their own bear or bunny keychain. A special type of paint was used where the colors would separate and create special patterns.

The club said anyone could join this activity, even those who think that they have no artistic skill. Many people who came made more than one to give personalized gifts to family or friends. The club was happy to note that there were 47 students and 6 lecturers who participated in the event.

The proceeds collected from this activity were used to make a donation to the cat cafe called Catsanova, which ALC officers and members had visited this term. A total of 7,533 Baht was raised and roughly 150 units of key chains were sold. Aside from this, 5,000 key chains were donated to Catsanova to help it in its mission to help and get street cats adopted.

This activity was indeed a win-win as participants had fun in creating beautiful key chains they get to keep or give and at the same time indirectly help out animals in need with supplies like food, shelter, medication, and the cost of the adoption process.
