The Innovative Design Cooking Club (IDC) of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) hosted a fun and flavorful cooking workshop entitled, “Your Own Savory Sprinkle” on May 14, 2025 at Room 3307, MUIC Building 1.

With around 30 enthusiastic students joining in, the event focused on the theme “Reducing Waste, Boosting Health,” encouraging participants to create their own Thai-inspired rice topping blends using leftover herbs, dried vegetables, curry pastes, and more.

It was amazing to see how engaged everyone was, from brainstorming flavor combinations to experimenting with different ingredients. Some groups went for spicy, tom yum-inspired mixes while others focused on sweet-savory fusions or low-sodium herbal blends. The room was filled with laughter, creativity, and the delicious scent of toasted toppings.

The best part? Watching students light up when they tasted their own creations where many said they never thought they'd be able to make something so tasty from scratch! The workshop not only inspired participants to try new flavors but also raised awareness about food sustainability in a hands-on, memorable way.

We’re proud to have sparked new culinary ideas while showing that food innovation can be both fun and meaningful.
