The Preparation Center for Languages and Mathematics (PC) hosted a special Krathong Workshop for our students as we celebrated the enchanting Thai festival of Loy Krathong on November 15, 2024, in Room 2207, 2nd floor of the MUIC Building 2.

The Krathong Workshop was a fantastic success, bringing together students and staff members for a fun and meaningful celebration of Thai culture! Participants learned how to craft traditional krathongs using banana leaves, flowers, and incense, while also exploring the deeper significance of the Loy Krathong festival. The workshop emphasized sustainability, with eco-friendly materials used to ensure our celebrations were both beautiful and kind to the environment. Students had the chance to get hands-on, designing their unique krathongs and learning about the festival’s connection to water, nature, and respect for the spirits.

We were also delighted to see so many creative designs, with participants taking part in a friendly competition to see who could craft the most beautiful or innovative krathong.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special day of creativity, culture, and reflection. We can’t wait for the next workshops and activities!

Happy Loy Krathong!
