The Animations, Games, and Comics Club (AGC) Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC), in collaboration with Mahidol University Minecraft Collective (MUMC), hosted a unique Minecraft Game Mode Competition called The Warden’s Mark, on June 23-26, 2025.

The 28 contestants were placed into the ancient cities of the popular blocky game of Minecraft. Within the dark and mysterious underground environment of the game, the players were tasked to find the flag hidden in the city, bring it back and place it in the center free for all style, all while avoiding the cities’ natural inhabitants, the Wardens. These being formidable foes, unbeatable by conventional means, the contestants need to devise an effective strategy in order to win the game, all the while their rivals attempt to sabotage or form alliances  with other players to attain a better outcome.

The competition rewards creativity, movement skills, stealth, planning, teamwork, and strategizing in order for the players to achieve high scores.

The competition was held online on MUMC’s Discord server and live-streamed on AGC’s YouTube channel. This time the game has three qualifying sections to whittle down the number of participants in the arena as they go to the finals. All in all, the players had fun together. The club expressed its congratulations to the winners and showed its appreciation to all the players for joining the competition.
