Mahidol University International College (MUIC), in collaboration with Bitazza Thailand, a licensed digital asset broker, hosted two industry guest speakers on October 12, 2026, at the Aditayathorn Building, bringing practical insights into blockchain regulation, digital asset security, artificial intelligence (AI), and investment portfolio management directly into the classroom.
The guest lectures supported MUIC's ongoing efforts to strengthen digital finance education by connecting academic learning with real-world industry expertise. Hosted within the Business Administration (BA) Division's Finance major program, the sessions gave students perspectives on the regulatory, technological, and financial challenges shaping the rapidly evolving digital asset ecosystem.
Building a Secure Web3 Future: Compliance, Standards, and Digital Safety
Mr. Santipap Charasphaew, Head of Legal and Compliance at Bitazza Thailand, delivered a lecture titled, “Building a Secure Web3 Future: Compliance, Standards, and Digital Safety.” The session examined the importance of regulatory compliance, industry standards, and digital security in supporting the responsible development of blockchain-based financial services. The discussion highlighted the intersection of financial regulation and technological innovation, emphasizing the role of legal frameworks, risk management, and investor protection in establishing trust and confidence in digital asset markets.
Using AI and Blockchain to Track Your Investment Portfolio
Mr. Pipat Wattanamongkolsiri, CEO and Co-founder of AiROVA and 9 CAT GROUP, delivered the second lecture titled, “Using AI and Blockchain to Track Your Investment Portfolio.” The session explored the convergence of artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, and investment management, focusing on how emerging technologies can support portfolio monitoring, financial data analysis, and investment decision-making. Students were introduced to the potential applications of AI-driven financial tools and blockchain-based systems within an educational context.
Strengthening Academic and Industry Collaboration
The guest lectures built upon MUIC's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bitazza Thailand, established in June 2026 to strengthen digital asset education, curriculum development, and industry readiness. The partnership seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical financial education and professional practice through activities such as guest lectures and workshops, with other forms of collaboration to be explored as the partnership develops.
The initiative is led by Dr. Aman Saggu, Lecturer in Finance and Cryptoeconomics at MUIC's BA Division, whose teaching and research integrate cryptocurrency markets, blockchain systems, financial economics, and emerging financial technologies. By bringing together expertise in legal compliance, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and investment management, the sessions reinforced the interdisciplinary nature of modern financial education.
Through its continuing collaboration with Bitazza Thailand and other industry partners, MUIC aims to equip students with the technical knowledge, regulatory awareness, and analytical skills needed to navigate the evolving digital economy and pursue professional opportunities in financial technology and digital assets.
