MUIC Science Students Win Gold Prize for Senior Research Projects

Five students of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) received the Young Rising Stars of Science Award 2021(Gold Prize) for their respective senior research projects in the 47th International Congress on Science, Technology and Technology-based Innovation held online and at Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus on October 5-7, 2021.

The winners were:

Ms. Siripreeya  Phankingthongkum, majoring in Chemistry whose senior research project is entitled  “Virtual Alternatives to Molecular Model Set for Chemistry Education;”

Mr. Dhup Bhukdee, majoring in Biological Science whose senior research project is entitled “Improved Colorectal Cancer Subtyping with Machine Learning and Bioinformatics Analysis;” and

Mr. Luigi Alfonso Macaraig, Mr. Jeerapan Sudsawad, and Mr. Eric Bergum, all majoring in Computer Engineering whose senior research project is entitled “NLP Emotion Classification.”

Organized by the Science Society of Thailand under the Patronage of His Majesty the King, the aim of the conference (with the theme "Sciences for SDGs: Challenges and Solutions" [Virtual Conference]) is to create a scientific forum for national and international scientists and technologists as well as young Thai scientists from diversified fields of science and technology to meet and to provide them the opportunity to share and exchange their knowledge and experiences.
