The 3rd Trimester found students of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) trooping to the election booths to vote for the coming academic year’s batch of Student Association officers.

With a total of 635 votes cast (of which 36 were “no” votes and 16 declared invalid), the declared winner was Smo Som-O team with an impressive 383 votes. Rival team Smo Gator received 181 votes.

The runup to the election proved to be hectic, with a month-long period for the registration of candidate teams held from April 26 to May 26, 2024 followed by a meeting with the teams on June 10. Speech Day was held on July 2, 2024, giving each team the chance to promote their respective electoral platforms and policies for the next year if they are elected.  Finally, the election was held during July 3 - 4, 2024 at the Ground Floor, Aditayathorn Building.

SMOJojojo, the outgoing team, expressed its gratitude to everyone who supported them the past year and also for voting for the next academic year’s team.
