The Volunteer Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized a “10-Day Volunteer Camp” on December 12 to 21, 2023 at Wat Khok Sa Noi School, Nakhon Ratchasima province.

The Volunteer Club is the off-campus activity organized by the Volunteer Club at the end of every academic trimester. The 41 volunteers who participated helped build new facilities including benches and a classroom. They also conducted several learning activities, including Brain-Based Learning (BBL) classes, English, Science, First-Aid, and Career Preparation classes, and Art workshops.

This activity demonstrated the holistic approach of the camp, addressing both academic and practical aspects. The success of the camp was not only measured by the physical improvements to the school but also in the participating MUIC students’ acquisition of essential soft and hard skills. Teamwork, leadership, creativity, and communication were highlighted as key areas where participants saw personal and collective growth.

The Volunteer Club said it received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both the local community and participants who expressed the joy that the activities had brought and also the friendships they made during the camp.
