MUIC Students Win 2 Medals in Young Rising Stars of Science Award

Two Mahidol University International College (MUIC) students won a gold medal and a silver medal at the Young Rising Stars of Science Award 2023 held on January 24, 2024 as part of the 49th International Congress on Science, Technology, and Technology-based Innovation (STT49).

Mr. Piyachon Rusuwannakul, a senior Computer Engineering student and Ms. Pruksasub Kittitronsub, a senior from the Chemistry major program, presented their respective project posters at the event’s venue, the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Center.

Mr. Piyachon, who won the silver medal, fielded inquiries on machine learning algorithms, website security, and the integration of a trading bot with their senior project website. Ms. Pruksasub, on the other hand, impressed with a material science project, discussing graphs, characterization methods, and result comparisons, leading the judges to award her with the gold medal.
