On February 7, 2025, seven students along with 21 Mahidol University International College - Model United Nations (MUICMUN) Club members participated in an engaging MUN training simulation activity organized by MUICMUN Club at Room A418, 4th Floor, Aditayathorn Building.

The event aimed to introduce participants to the realm of diplomacy, debate, and global problem-solving, preparing them to step into the role of a diplomat and address international issues.

The activity began with registration, where students received materials, including a guidebook, followed by a warm welcoming speech by the club president, Mr. Jiratt Pluemthanom, who emphasized the importance of MUN in developing critical skills such as public speaking, teamwork, and negotiation.

An introductory session provided an overview of the United Nations system, the benefits of MUN, and the roles of delegates. It also covered general manners, research guidelines, and rules of procedure. Students learned essential skills such as drafting resolutions and building confidence to voice their opinions.

The highlight of the day was the conference simulation, where students represented countries and debated on the South China Sea dispute. This hands-on experience encouraged critical thinking, negotiation, and teamwork as participants worked to draft a resolution.

The activity successfully enhanced students’ public speaking and collaboration skills, equipping them with the confidence to participate in future MUN conferences and explore global challenges.
