Mahidol University International College’s Model United Nations Club (MUICMUN) held its first training session under its MUNtroduction series which aims to familiarize beginner members on October 2, 2025 at Room A420, 4th Floor, Aditayathorn Building.

There were 18 students who attended the first of the series entitled, “MUNtroduction: Public Speaking,” tackled the very foundation of Model United Nations.

When people think of MUN, an image of an aspiring youth going up on a stage or a podium would first come to their mind. Whenever they speak, their words will hold such weight that can affect the outcome of a conference.

To achieve a successful speech that can move a roomful of people, one must know the art of public speaking, uttering words in a certain way and in a specific context. Delegates should be articulate enough to get their point across. The club said it hopes the participants have taken something valuable from this MUNtroduction. “If they wish to further refine their MUN skills, more MUNtroduction will focus on other aspects of a Model United Nations conference and will be topped off by an actual conference we will organize!”
