The Model United Nations Club at Mahidol University International College (MUICMUN) hosted a specialized “Foreign Policy Event” on January 29, 2026, at Room A322, 3rd Floor, Aditayathorn Building to train students in the foundational skills of international diplomacy.

The workshop, attended by 28 students, was designed to shift the focus from debate to the crucial preparatory work behind it: research and writing. The session guided participants through the essential first steps of a successful MUN delegate, including how to effectively research an assigned country’s official stance and craft a compelling position paper.

Led by Academic Team member Mr. Puttipat Sawatdee, the event provided practical “tips and tricks” for navigating complex information. Students learned to analyze government statements, academic journals, and news articles to build a comprehensive understanding of their country’s foreign policy.

“We hope to introduce participants to the very first steps of being a successful MUN delegate,” the club stated, aiming to extend the knowledge of experienced members to newcomers interested in global affairs.
