The Model United Nations (MUN) Thailand National Assembly, co-organized by MUIC MUN Club, was held at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok on May 31, 2025.

With the collaboration of the ChulaMUN team of Chulalongkorn University, the event brought together students from seven different universities across Thailand, known collectively as the MUN Network Thailand, to simulate a UN-style debate on a global crisis. The aim of the event was to promote international cooperation, practice diplomacy, and raise awareness about humanitarian and health-related challenges through discussion and negotiation.

The conference began with a warm welcome and opening speech by the President of the MUIC MUN Club, Mr. Apiwich Yuckphan, and the President of ChulaMUN. The atmosphere was formal and engaging, setting the tone for a productive day of diplomacy and debate.

The central topic of this year’s assembly was a fictional but serious scenario: A zombie apocalypse caused by a virus outbreak called the X-25 virus. The crisis represented a global health emergency, allowing delegates to explore real-world diplomatic responses such as vaccine development, refugee management, international funding, and human rights concerns.

During the conference, the executive board from each university came together to discuss the future of the MUN Network Thailand including dialogues about the structure of the network and how it should operate moving forward.

The Thailand National 2025 Assembly was a successful and engaging simulation of a global crisis response. It highlighted the importance of international cooperation, transparent dialogue, and balancing humanitarian values with national interests during emergencies.

The MUIC MUN Club expressed its heartfelt thanks to all the teams whose dedication made this event possible—the Academic Team for their in-depth research and guidebooks, the Public Relations team for their excellent promotion and outreach, the Project Management team for their seamless coordination and logistics, and the Chair Team (Dias) for their strong leadership and professionalism. Their collective effort ensured a memorable and impactful experience for everyone involved.
