As October was ending, so started the spooky yet festive season! This is the time when all the ghouls and goblins and many different creatures all come out to play! All Hallow’s Eve, also known as Halloween, is the festive and scary event that happens every year during the autumn season.

To celebrate Halloween, when the boundary between the living and the dead is said to blur, the Student Association of MUIC (SMO Som-O) held “Hallo Boo Night” on October 31, 2024 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Ground Floor of Aditayathorn Building.

Many students and staff came to the campus dressed up in different costumes to take part in this occasion where monsters and demons are believed to come out and play. Along with performances from MUIC’s clubs, namely, Animations, Games, and Comics Club (AGC), Theatre Club, and Dance Club; SMO Som-O also held a cupcake workshop activity where participants had a great time decorating cupcakes by adding their own toppings and style to their hearts’ desire.

In addition to the numerous club activities that were being held that day, there was a small market with stores and stalls by MUIC students who were invited to sell different kinds of Halloween-related foods and snacks for the students and visitors to enjoy.

With hundreds of participants dressing up in creative Halloween costumes, many left either scared or happily spooked by the event as the petrifying decor added to the frightful experience.

As the ghosts that were released on Halloween returned to their own realm, the living awaited and looked forward to SMO Som-O’s next event. Who knows what would it be? Would the next event be a trick…or a treat?
