With their tenure up, their last event concluded and a new set of Student Association officers elected for the new academic year, one may think that nothing would be heard again from SMO Som-O – the Student Association officers of Academic Year 2024-2025. It turns out they would like to end their term as representatives of the students of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) with a touching gesture.

On November 19, 2025, several officers and members of SMO Som-O visited Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok to meet up with the officials of Siriraj Foundation to turn over a donation sourced from the ticket sales of SMO Som-O’s ultimate event, “Once in the Moonlight.” A total of 21,240 Thai Baht worth of ticket sales were then donated to the “Underprivileged Patients Campaign,” which aims to give hope and support to underprivileged patients who are unable to afford their medical treatment. As stated on the foundation’s website, “Every act of giving helps extend the breath of life of those still waiting for a chance at treatment.”

This donation served as a reflection of one of  Mahidol University’s Core Value, namely Altruism—which includes contributing to community service and providing aid to those who are struggling and fighting for another chance to survive.

SMO Som-O officers said they would like to thank those who attended the concert and who had been part of the year-long journey with SMO Som-O. They expressed hope that they would meet their supporters again in the future and wish Siriraj Hospital the very best as they continue to save many more lives. They also expressed hope that the donation from MUIC students would go a long way in helping patients in need.
