Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Nature Lovers Club in cooperation with Genscape Club hosted a flower arrangement event called “Blooming Self” on June 10, 2024 at Room A235 Exhibition Hall, Aditayathorn Building.

Led by the club committee, the event attracted 30 enthusiastic participants, creating a day filled with creativity, self-discovery, and connection with nature.

Participants had the opportunity to engage with their creativity, gaining insights into the techniques behind flower arrangement and the Japanese art of ikebana. Workshops on flower selection, symbolism, and mindfulness added an educational dimension, inspiring attendees to explore their identities through floral design.

The educational aspect of the event extended beyond arrangement techniques, with dedicated sessions on the symbolism of different flowers and the importance of balance in ikebana. Participants eagerly absorbed knowledge on connecting with their chosen flowers and understanding how their characteristics resonate with their lives.

The day was concluded with participants proudly sharing their unique floral arrangements and reflections with the group. The flower arrangement fostered a deeper connection between its members and nature, igniting a collective spark for self-expression and mindfulness.

The club said the event was a testament to its commitment to cultivating a community that celebrates the uniqueness of human identity and artistic expression through the timeless practice of flower arrangement.
