The sound of folk music filled the air at The Crystal SB Ratchaphruek on February 7–8, 2026, as 23 students from the Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Volunteer Club transformed the shopping center into a stage for a cause.

Their "Fund for Fun" event successfully blended live entertainment with community outreach to raise money for an upcoming 8-day volunteer camp dedicated to improving a rural school.

The event showcased a dynamic approach to fundraising. While one group of student musicians created an inviting and lively atmosphere with their performances, another team engaged directly with the public. Armed with donation boxes and informational boards, these volunteers navigated the crowds, sharing the club’s mission and raising awareness about the needs of the community school they plan to support.

This two-pronged strategy did more than just generate funds; it provided an invaluable learning experience. Participants honed their communication and interpersonal skills as they interacted with donors, building confidence with every conversation. The activity, which ran from setup in the afternoon to cleanup in the evening, also reinforced the values of teamwork and responsibility.

As the weekend drew to a close, the Volunteer Club had not only moved closer to its financial goal but had also strengthened its members’ commitment to social responsibility. The event stood as a testament to how creativity, collaboration, and a passion for service can come together to make a tangible impact.
