IRGA Organizes “Diplomat Camp” for High School Students

Around 60 high school students got a firsthand experience of the life of diplomats when they attended the “Diplomat Camp” organized by the International Relations and Global Affairs (IRGA) Program of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) on September 2, 2023 at Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building, MUIC.

Four diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Thailand, one of whom is an MUIC alumnus, were the guest speakers. They are:

Ms. Vowpailin Chovichien of the Department of International Organizations
Ms. Krittiya Chittanonda of the Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs
Mr. Athikarn Khonwai of the Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs
Mr. Karin Kunjara Na Ayudhya of the Department of International Organizations and a Social Science alumnus (Class of 2012)

They introduced the students to the different departments of the MFA and the types of work done in each. The IRGA Ambassadors helped facilitate the proceedings.

As the 60 students participated in activities that simulated the tasks done in the MFA, they were able to interact directly with the diplomats and one another, enhancing their networking and communication skills.
