The Steering Committee of Mahidol University International College (MUIC), held a strategic planning meeting at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River on September 30, 2022.
Presiding over the meeting, entitled “MUIC Business Challenge and Strategic Pillars,” was Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University, who also heads the MUIC Steering Committee. Aside from committee members, the MUIC Executive Team led by Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, M.D., MUIC Dean, was also in attendance.
A 4-year strategy has been developed based on issues and opportunities facing the college and its communities. With a confirmed leadership structure in place for the next four years, it was now time to align the key stakeholders on the new strategy and mobilize the teams in MUIC to develop the initiatives and behaviors to turn the strategy into reality.
The project objectives were the following:
- To validate and align the Four-Year Strategy with key KPIs and actions in order to achieve the objectives
- To derive from the strategy the relevant key tasks for each department, team and individuals
The corresponding project deliverables, on the other hand, are as follows:
• The MUIC Team and Key Stakeholders to be aligned on the Four-Year Strategy and actions
• A clear path of where MUIC is heading, with clear key milestones and KPIs
• An aligned team that knows, understands, and believes in the Four-Year Strategy and is ready to act on their role to deliver the challenge
The vision of the College remains the same, namely, “Enriching lives, Expanding potentials, Shaping futures.” College officials said MUIC is “moving to the next step in its mission to inspire innovation, foster human potential and create new knowledge through the integration of arts and sciences in an international environment, ultimately resulting in education, research, and services to serve the needs of society and benefit humankind.”
