Ten members of Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Model United Nations Club (MUICMUN) represented the club and the MUN Network Thailand during the Sustainability Expo 2024 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center on October 1-2, 2024.

The United Nations in Thailand organized a UN Experience Pavilion which aimed to educate participants on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a myriad of interactive experiences such as virtual reality and AI.

During the course of two days, the MUICMUN representatives promoted to the participants the newly formed MUN Network Thailand, composed of MUNs from seven other universities. The MUICMUN members also shared information on previous and upcoming MUICMUN activities, notably using modern technology rather than printed materials to promote sustainability.

In the UN Experience Pavilion, MUICMUN worked alongside nine UN agencies based in Thailand to educate visitors about SDGs and the agencies’ purpose and achievements in Thailand.

Many notable companies and government agencies in Thailand participated and showcased their commitment to sustainability alongside their future goals. This included CP Group, PTT Group, MNRE, and ThaiBev, among others. Many leading educational institutions in Thailand also attended the expo, such as Mahidol University, Thammasat University and Chulalongkorn University.
