The vibrant underwater world of Samaesarn in Chonburi province became a living classroom for 25 students from Mahidol University International College (MUIC) as the Diving Club organized a successful ocean diving session on March 14-15, 2026. The trainees traded lecture halls for the deep blue sea, immersing themselves in an environment of clear waters and thriving marine life.
The two-day event was designed to accommodate divers of all experience levels, bringing together both new Open Water trainees and more seasoned Advanced Open Water divers. For beginners, the session was a crucial confidence-builder, allowing them to master fundamental skills like buoyancy control and underwater communication under the guidance of experienced instructors. Meanwhile, advanced divers had the chance to refine their navigation techniques and explore the deeper, more challenging areas of the dive sites.
More than just a recreational dive, the trip carried a strong message of environmental stewardship. The club emphasized the importance of responsible diving practices, encouraging students to observe marine ecosystems with respect and to actively participate in the preservation of ocean biodiversity. This focus turned the adventure into a meaningful lesson in conservation.
Beyond the bubbles and coral reefs, the trip fostered a strong sense of community. The shared experience of exploring the ocean depths helped members bond, creating a supportive atmosphere that was both educational and relaxing. According to club officers, the successful outing has set the stage for future events, and they look forward to welcoming more members on upcoming expeditions to explore the breathtaking beauty of Thailand’s underwater world.
