The Dean of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) visited recently two universities in South Korea to strengthen educational cooperation.

Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, M.D., Dean of MUIC, visited University of Seoul on June 16, 2025 and met with Dr. Minchan Pyo, Vice President of International Affairs; and Ms. Eunhwa Shin, Head of International Partnerships, to promote a more vigorous student exchange activity between the two institutions which had signed an agreement in 2022.

The following day, June 17th, Dean Chulathida went to Korea University (KU) where she met with Prof. Sang Kee Song, Vice President, International Affairs; Mr. Donghyun Jang, Director, Office of International Affairs; Mrs. JJ Park, Manager, International Summer/Winter Campus; and Dr. William Stewart, Associate Director, International Cooperation. The visit was aimed at establishing a semester-long student exchange program (both inbound and outbound) with KU, a prestigious and internationally recognized institution.

The Dean’s trip was seen as a major move to position MUIC as a welcoming exchange destination for more Korean institutions and their students and at the same time encourage MUIC students to do their exchange studies in South Korean universities. It was also an opportunity to explore other academic partnerships with the two Korean institutions.
