The Nature Lovers Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized a trip to Sireeruckhachati Park in Mahidol University’s Salaya campus  on May 15 and 18, 2023.

The visit included activities such as fruit jelly-making workshop and a tram tour around the park where the 32 participating students learned about Thai traditional medicine and the herbs used to treat different diseases and pathological symptoms.

The tour guide pointed out fascinating plants and let the participants have a taste of them. Many were surprised at the pleasant taste of the plants. Being in the garden gave participants a chance to reconnect with nature and be made aware of which plants are used as traditional medicine.

The participants were also able to enjoy the scenery that the park provides. Despite the scorching hot weather, the air around the park was cool due to the shade from the trees, the pond, and the breeze.
