MUIC’s Energy Saving Committee Holds “Happy Green Day”

The Energy Saving Committee of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) held “Happy Green Day” on June 2, 2023 in observance of World Environment Day.

The event, meant to raise awareness on environmental issues among students, faculty and staff members, and bring happiness to the workplace, featured two activities: “Happy Green Thumb” and “Happy Green Market.”

Dr. Laddawan Jianvittayakit, Associate Dean for Environment and Sustainable Development, presided over the opening ceremony and gave the opening remarks during the ceremony held at the activity area, Ground Floor, MUIC Building 1.

The event corresponded with Mahidol University’s Green University policy and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During the activity, various techniques of growing vegetables along with effective means of collecting waste were taught to the participants.
