Nature Lovers Club Gives a Second Chance

Nature Lovers Club went to visit and donate goods at Second Chance Bangkok, a social enterprise organization, on February 15, 2024.

Dr. Wayne Nicholas Phillips, the club advisor, along with the executive team of the club, had a great time and acquired a lot of insight from the organization.

The donation drive was held from October 24 to November 24, 2023 with the theme “Season of Giving with Second Chance Bangkok.” Over 15 boxes were filled with donations from MUIC students, staff, and lecturers. Second Chance Bangkok will upcycle and reuse the donated materials for the benefit of residents of Klongtoey community, described as Bangkok’s largest slum.

The club members were given a tour of the organization’s premises to see what students can do to help. They also had a chance to discuss new ideas for future events that could be held in collaboration with Second Chance Bangkok.
