Fourteen hours of dedication, cooperation, and fun-filled activities through the tumultuous weather of September, ending with a heartfelt ceremony during the last few hours of the activity, was how participants and observers summarized the “One Day Camp” organized by the Sophomore Class Committee on September 30, 2023 at MUIC Building 1’s Ground Floor Hall  and at Siriwitthaya Building (Liberal Arts Building).

The activity, known by its full name of “Fun Day One-Day Camp,” was the final and grandest activity of the Freshmen Welcoming Activity, encompassing an entire day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Liberal Arts Building.

It was as eventful as it was beautifully organized, allowing freshmen and their seniors to enjoy their time together to the fullest with numerous activities starting with a tour of the university from MUIC Building 1, Mahidol Learning Center, before arriving at the Liberal Arts Building.

Following this, the class committee organized a wide variety of exhilarating activities for the freshmen to enjoy while providing welfare, medical facilities, lunch, and dinner for all participants.

At the end of the day, the Class Committee organized the heartwarming Candle Ceremony, where all participating MUIC students, alumni, and staff members had a heartfelt conversation with each other with candle light in the background.

During this ceremony, many MUIC alumni from different batches participated as well. The activity ended with Ajarn Wimonsiri Hemtanon, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, giving a speech thanking all the participants and staff members for making this activity possible.

Overall, the “Fun Day One-Day Camp” of Trimester 1/2023-2024 had 342 participants (302 students and 40 staff), surpassing the expectations of both the students and the organizers for its effective and competent execution of activities. The activity also created a strong sense of community among both freshmen and seniors.
