Since 1998, the Preparation Center for Languages and Mathematics (PC) has been MUIC’s pathway program, building strong English and mathematics skills for students aiming to meet MUIC requirements and succeed in international degree programs. As Thailand’s first NEAS-endorsed language center, PC offers English courses that develop grammar, vocabulary, and academic communication skills through integrated tasks and projects focusing on global issues, research, collaboration, and digital literacy.
The PC English Program (EP) helps students build solid foundations in grammar and vocabulary as well as increase their ability to communicate and think logically for academic purposes. Reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills are integrated in each level through various tasks and projects that focus on important issues. Some EP students also study mathematics to prepare them for courses at MUIC.
The PC Mathematical Foundations Program (MP) is designed for students needing the skills to meet the mathematics requirements at MUIC and succeed in their college courses. In this intensive program, students improve their skills by learning basic mathematical concepts as well as algebra and pre-calculus. Furthermore, MP helps students realize the importance of proper study skills and preparation in order to achieve their academic goals.
