A Warm Welcome for New Students: PC Orientation Q2/2025

The Preparation Center for Languages and Mathematics (PC) hosted an orientation event for Quarter 2, 2025, on Monday, March 31, in MUIC Building 1 Auditorium. 360 new students and parents attended the event.

Parents and guardians were invited to the orientation to have an opportunity to learn from staff, meet instructors, and experience the environment on campus. The aim is to strengthen relations and enhance the potential of the incoming students.

Mr. Joseph Serrani, the Director, and Mr. Mark Manning, the Assistant Director, gave the welcoming session. They shared important benefits of PC as well as details about the skills, characteristics, and resources needed to succeed in the program. During this segment, more information about campus services and facilities was shared, and the names and photos of students who earned awards for "Outstanding Contributions" and "Academic Excellence" were displayed.

Ms. Satja Sopha, Senior Secretary of PC, Ms. Sutasinee Teekabut, Head of the General Services Unit conducted the next session in Thai. Ms. Pathida Jamorntamakul and Ms. Phim-On Cheevaphitakpol led the English presentation for the international students. They provided general information about the program, including support staff roles, study guidelines, facilities, services, and so on, to help the new students and parents become familiar with the advantages of PC and MUIC.

The final portion of the orientation involved visits to the classrooms. To get a sense of the environment and content of each PC level, the new students and some of their parents attended welcoming sessions with instructors.

We would like to thank the new students and their parents for attending and warmly welcome them to the PC and MUIC community. This event marked another successful orientation to start students on the pathway to MUIC.
