To open a bank account, Exchange and Visiting students are required to request a certification letter from the Student Exchange Office, International Affairs, located at A244, 2nd floor, Aditayathorn Building.

Required documents to open a bank account:

  • Passport
  • Certification letter from the Student Exchange Office
  • Student ID card
Note: This procedure applies only at the Siam Commercial Bank branch on campus. On-campus ATM stations are available in the lobby of MUIC Building 1 and on the 1st floor of the Aditayathorn Building, among other locations. ATM withdrawals limit: 20,000 Baht per day.  
  • Estimated Basic Cost of Living (approximate exchange rate: 1 USD = 32 Baht)
Accommodations: 7,000-30,000 Baht/month
Utilities: 2,000-4,000 Baht/month
Food/Meals 6,000 – 12,000 Baht/month
Books/Course Materials 5,000 Baht/trimester
Local Transportation 6,000 Baht/month
