MUIC Student Association

The MUIC Student Association (a.k.a. SMO) is responsible for supervising all student and club activities according to the rules and regulations of the university and college. The Student Association aims to encourage all students to develop their both academic and social skills, as well as train them to work for the good of the majority. Moreover, the Student Association also acts as a representative of students to gather voice and problems from students to present to the college executives committee to find the best solution.

The Student Association 3 primary objectives:

  • To make MUIC a place where students can excel and enjoy themselves, both academically and socially.
  • To encourage as many students as possible to become involved in extra-curricular activities.
  • To provide a voice for students and contribute to finding creative solutions for student concerns.

 

Student Association Activities

Freshmen Welcoming Activities
"Rubnong" a freshman welcoming activity, is eagerly awaited each trimester, organized by the Sophomore Class Committee. The crucial "Freshmen-Senior First Meet" session divides seniors and freshmen into groups for two weeks of bonding before a combined activity and one-day camp.
Club Exposition
The Student Association hosts this activity each trimester to foster connections among students, showcase clubs, and enliven campus life. Clubs will share their upcoming activities and performances during the event.
Loy Krathong Festival
The Student Association plans to held Loy Krathong festival with reusable Krathong at the Aditayathorn building's pool area. Student clubs, external shops, and student shops will join in the celebration with booths set up in designated areas.
Halloween Day
The festival invites students to wear Halloween costumes and enjoy activity booths set up by the Student Association and student clubs. Student shops and performances will also be featured during the event.
Blood Donation
Siriraj Hospital facilitates blood donations for students and staff, benefiting those in need while raising awareness about the advantages of blood donation.
Chinese New Year Festival
The Chinese New Year event introduces students to Chinese culture through activities such as eating contests, performances, ribbon writing, lucky envelope distribution, board games, and food stalls.
Valentine’s Day
The Student Association's Valentine's Day event celebrates with students through workshops, stickers, cards, flowers, and collaborative activities with student clubs.
IC Fair
The IC Fair is a yearly event that has sale booths for a variety of items and delicious food. We also provide activities such as live music, games, and photobooths. Under the various theme.
Health Week
The Office of Student Affairs collaborates with the Student Association to host Health Week in May or June, promoting health literacy among students. Activities include health checkups by Mahidol University's Faculty of Sports Science, strength and ability tests, and health seminars. Additionally, students can participate in blood donation and non-smoking activities during the week.
Pride Month
The Student Association, working together with clubs and divisions, celebrates Pride Month. The activities include selling booths from students, alumni, and other vendors. We also provide Pride Month seminars, parades, and other activities.
Freshmen Class Committee Election and Student Association Election
The Student Association organizes an election for the freshman class committee to choose who will represent their batch. The selected committee will serve as the organizing committee for their batch's upcoming activities. The Student Association organizes election for the upcoming academic year's student association. We are looking for a group of candidates with leadership, management, communication, and other relevant abilities to serve as MUIC student representatives. These students will be in charge of raising student voices and supervising student clubs and activities.
Concert
The Student Association invites artists to MUIC's annual concert, which allows students to unwind and release stress after a long academic year. The additional profits from the concert will be donated to charity.
Other activities
The Student Association also plan amazing activities based on the student's interests and current trends.
