E-Sports Club Hosts Tekken 8 Tournament

Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) E-Sports Club organized “Tekken 8 Tournament” at the Co-Working Space, Aditayathorn Building from March 11 to 14, 2024.

The “Tekken 8 Tournament” was a competitive gaming event centered around the widely popular fighting game, “Tekken 8.” To ensure inclusivity and fairness, the tournament featured a unique format: For the first three days, contestants engaged in arcade mode, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the game’s characters and mechanics. The E-sports Club recorded the time taken by contestants to complete the arcade battles. This helped to identify the Top 8 contestants who then advanced to battle against one another on the fourth and last day of the tournament.

The tournament was held on-site to ensure fairness and transparency of the tournament and every participant were provided consoles by the event’s sponsor, Racy Gamer. There was also a bonus round for the winner of the tournament to battle against one of the MUIC staff.

Sponsors of this activity included: Thai President Foods PCL (TF), Synnex, and Racy Gamer.

2. Ms. Tanit A-mornthap (Senior Student, ICIC), First Runnerup
