PC XP & Elective Track Admission

PC XP and the Elective Track have been designed for learners who desire to improve their English language, academic, and interpersonal skills to pursue educational and professional opportunities. If you are planning to study in an international undergraduate or graduate program in Thailand or overseas, the Elective Track is a valuable opportunity to develop the skills necessary for success in those endeavors. PC XP is ideal for current high school students to partake in a university experience while enhancing beneficial communication skills.

Students are placed in a level according to their English language proficiency and work with instructors and students to achieve their maximum potential. Students not only learn academic English, but they explore the academic world and experience the international environment at MUIC, develop digital literacy, and enhance their 21st-century skill set, including critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

Application Type

PC Elective Track

Duration: 10-week course or until ready
Tuition fee: 40,400 baht / 10 weeks
Study period: 4 times per year

A certificate verifying completion of the course is provided if requested.

PC XP

Duration: 5-week course
Tuition fee: 20,200 baht / course
Study period: 1st 5 weeks of every PC quarter

A certificate verifying completion of the course is provided if requested.

Remark:  The result from Elective Track and PC XP cannot be used at MUIC  after PC4. If you would like to continue your undergraduate degree at MUIC, please apply via PC Direct Track only.

Eligible Applicants

  • Gap-year students who would like to increase English proficiency  or

  • High-school students whose school vacation fits the PC study period  or

  • Graduates who desire to increase their English skills before studying in an international program  or

  • Overseas students who seek an international experience before studying abroad

Required documents

All documents submitted should be in Thai or English. Documents in other languages must be translated into English.

  2. Identification documents

  • Thai resident: A photocopy of ID card & a photocopy of one’s current residency document (address page and applicant’s name page)

  • Non-Thai resident: Copies of passport with every stamped page

  1. The placement test fee is 1,500 baht. There will be an email regarding payment after the application is confirmed.

  2. Minimum English proficiency score: TOEFL 32, IELTS 4.5, PTE 30, DET 55 (Optional)

Application Process

  1. Application form: fill out the application form and submit the required documents. 

  2. Confirmation & payment: wait for the confirmation email within 1 week. The payment details will be sent to the applicant’s email.

  3. Test schedule via email: Make a payment and send the payment evidence to Google Form. Then, the exam code and test schedule are sent via email.

  4. Placement test: the test will be conducted via Zoom following the schedule.

  5. Result announcement: the result will be emailed with the registration information. 

*All payments are non-refundable unless the program is canceled by PC.
