MUIC’s Associate Dean for International Affairs Attends AALAU Presidents’ Forum 2024

The Associate Dean for International Affairs of Mahidol University International College (MUIC),  Asst. Prof. Dale Konstanz, participated on November 1, 2024 in the Alliance of Asian Liberal Arts Universities (AALAU) Presidents’ Forum 2024, hosted by Heng Seng University in Hong Kong. As a long-standing member institution of AALAU, MUIC was proud to partake in this significant gathering of academic leaders from across Asia.

Asst. Prof. Konstanz attended the forum on behalf of MUIC’s Dean and was honored to serve as a moderator in a special session featuring two distinguished speakers. The session provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the role of higher education in fostering leadership in sustainability—an issue central to the goals of the AALAU.

He was also one of the signatories of the Joint Declaration of the AALAU Presidents’ Forum 2024, a key document signed by representatives from nine AALAU institutions. The declaration underscores a shared commitment to advancing sustainability leadership within their academic communities, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts to address global challenges through education and research.

This forum served as an important opportunity for academic institutions to deepen their collaboration, share best practices, and collectively work toward sustainable futures in higher liberal arts education. Through his participation, Asst. Prof. Konstanz further cemented MUIC’s commitment to both international partnerships and the promotion of sustainability in academia.
